I don't know a lot about temperature guns but this one seems to be pretty close (within a couple degrees) to the other thermometers that I have compared it to. I have used this on anything and everything that I could find. I've had more fun playing with this temp gun rather than practical purposes. LOL This is not a professional grade temp gun so if you need super precise measurements then this is not for you. You get what you pay for with these types of products.
