We live beside a horse field which brings mice in droves and ants are always horrible in the summer. When I got this item for review, I was so excited thinking OMG this is going to work and I won't have to clean up mouse nastiness and have ants running rampant in my kitchen. I put this in my kitchen as that's where we have the most issues and noticed little to no difference over a month of continual use. My grandmother has always sworn by these types of devices but the ones that she had would chirp incessantly. One plus from this item is that you don't have the chirping all the time. That used to drive me batty when I would go to her house. Maybe it would work better in a smaller room as we have a morning room/kitchen combo which results in a very long room.
